The Back Story of Two Sides

A war is being waged, a subtle war, but a war all the same. One with sides made up of Demons, and the other being made up of humans, their inferior counterparts, if you were to believe them. Demons are an older race of beings that have inhabited the planet for as far back as anyone can remember, quite possibly superseding mankind. They stayed mostly a race kept apart from them, choosing not to intermingle, and also hiding a very large secret from the world as a whole throughout the ages. The secret of their powers. And this is a secret that would have continued to be kept from the world, if it had been possible.

However, luck was not with the demons, and purely by accident humans found out that demons were gifted with strange abilities that went far beyond humanities range of capabilities. The powers differ from demonkind, but all are relatively dangerous and threatening. As such, the government began to experiment with demons, wanting to find a way to keep their 'unnatural' abilities leashed to maintain public safety, while at the same time harnessing their powers as a force for good. Dr. Aeria Foster is a psychiatrist specializing in genetics, who was head of the Black Steel project, the Demon project. The project wound up being a huge failure, and now the entire world must suffer the consequences, as the demons have been push far past the point of breaking and have begun to retaliate.

Now she is helping to wage war against the Demons, because they want her dead as she is the only real threat to their freedom. She has written a dissertation on the Demons that has been published and used as propaganda to build up a public hatred of Demons the likes of which have been seen in Nazi Germany, during the persecution of the Jews, and in America during the persecution of the Native Americans.

While most of the public knowledge about Demons is fiction and lies, they are not the victims that they might seem. Since entering into society and having contact with mankind, most of the Demon population has come to believe themselves to be by far superior to the “Human weaklings”. It is their belief that Earth should be solely theirs to inhabit, and that mankind should be wiped out. The only use they have for human is for procreational purposes, and involves only the women. But not all of the Demons feel this way. There is a number of the Demon population who want only want peace, and to be allowed to live life with the rest of the people.

And where do the Humans fit into all of this? Well, there are Human sympathizers but there are many more Human persecutors. Blackwell Academy, in on the outskirts of Guildford in the county of Surrey, has been the school designated to train those people who aspire to be Demon Hunters. And large companies and corporations have found a way to sell the chance to fight in the war against the Demons, turning war into a profitable commercial venture. What very few know is that the Demons have infiltrated Blackwell Academy, and are spiriting away it’s women into the night, and that the war front the public is so familiar with, is nothing more than a figure head while the real war is buried much deeper and is far more serious.
